Why, Courage Then! What Cannot Be Avoided 'Twere Childish Weakness To Lament Or Fear.

Everywhere - yes, there is me.
So whatever comes to be
Will melt into all that was,
This, no matter what life does.

Here I am, and here I stay
I am everything today.
I am time, and I am space,
Every deed, and every place

Every when is when I am
I am lion, I am lamb
I am anger, I am peace
I will never ever cease.

I, the only thing that's real,
That can harm, and that can heal,
I, the only thing that lasts,
No more futures, no more pasts.

I am what has always been.
I am sainthood, I am sin.
I am everything I see.
I am what it is to be.

All that happens, that is me
All love and antipathy.
I cannot reject myself;
Take me from the dusty shelf.

Everything - yes, that is me.
I am all, totality
I am me, and I am you.
This, no matter what I do.

Beautiful clear and nourishing.

But does this mean only the little 'me' seeks the clear space, the blue sky? Does it mean that we should just lay down and accept all the pain and suffering(what is)- or just realise that we are going to do what we are going to do anyway (what is happening is happening)? Does all the spiritual searching and the apparent pleasure that it brings mean nothing, even though it feels so right? Even those who say netti netti believe there is something that is a more true expression of who we are than the objects that arise in our consciousness as goodness and sin etc etc
Listen to John Wheeler's podcast when he talks about not washing away the baby with the bathwater, posted on Charlie Hayes blog.Is that a trap?

The clear space and blue sky is often sought. Laying down and accepting pain may indeed happen...but pain need not be suffering. Pleasure is not necessarily the goal. A clear, "harmonious with the Universe" expression may indeed arise, or not. One is not "better" than the other. And not washing away the baby with the bathwater...the ego, the baby, is so often given a bad rap; like the prodigal son; but it can be realised that ego is this too. Everything is this, suffering, bliss, clear space, contraction. There are no traps. The mind divides and tries to understand...until it doesn't!

You have a gift, you know. Very nice. I see a poetry book in the future, n'est pas?

Hi Mike, who knows? Not me that's for sure!

Ego is this too-agreed. Allowing it all to arise can be great fun, connects us up with others, helps us to understand, makes us grow etc.But what sees all this? It's maybe that we havn't a clue, but if we have, there will be more peace, even a falling away of the things that hurt us and others and, despite the fact that this is all part of the story of the small me, I just have to believe that this is important - that the world, whether a dream or not, will be a better place with more individual awareness and investment in consciousness - not as a practice but as part of a point of understanding from which life is lived.
We are maybe not in control of much of our lives (being lived rather than living) but so much more beauty appears when there is attention to consciousness rather than identification with objects flying around in consciousness. If the mind doesn't agree then let the body decide (As Florian on NeverNotHere teaches).

Lovely poetryx

Julian, however your mind interprets it is just fine.

All is beauty.

Hi Suzanne. One of your fans tweeted this. I'm so glad he did. I love it so much. Do you mind if I put it on my site with a link to you? It's about time for another Foxton installment anyway.

Would go well with some bongo tapping.

Yeah...
I am every thing, every where, every when, every me, every you...
Do I need more than this?
Thank you, Suzanne

Brenda - sure, please feel free. Anonymous - I heard it sung by a boy soprano choir in my head, sounding a bit like the intro to The William Tell Overture. Christine - thanks! and Fernando - you don't need a thing.

Such a sweet poem! Feels like the caress of a mild breeze one of those early summer days when the naked skin is for the first time of the year exposed to the sun and the wind...

Wow Svante, your response outdoes the poem!

I'm up for bongo tapping but don't tell anyone.....

Lovely, lovely, poem - so simple and direct. It rhymes too, just trips off the tongue, beautiful.

Julian - whatever happens happens, there is no you to fight it or accord with it, though from deep inside the story, all those things happen to a me who seems to be in control (or doesn't).

With or without any of these things, with or without a you, there IS. And It can be acknowledged, prayed to, chased after, ignored, forgotten, lost, gained, whatever... the belief in IT can be held, adored and worshipped or thrown out with the bath water and consciousness can be raised or destroyed........but nothing touches what IS; nothing touches it, yet it is Everything. This is IT, all there IS.....however which way it may seem to manifest.

Thanks Shiru San. The frustrated seeker - it's no bad thing.

I hit the wrong button yesterday and lost two comments: one by Anonymous saying "if you want to see liberation, just pause thought and say no thought over and over...and if that doesn't work, do it again" (as best I remember) and one from Julian just saying "yes" in response to my comment "all is beauty". Sorry folks! I've never had to reject a comment yet - nothing naughty enough!

And what comment would be naughty enough to be rejected by you? I'd die to know. ;)

(I was always wondering why you have that comment moderation thing switched on...)

Actually, there have been a few borderline inappropriate ones I went ahead and published...it seems the messenger, and the messenger's photo, inspires some seekers to a bit of erotic transference! The messenger doesn't exist, thank goodness.

Oh, doesn't she? No good odds for that marriage you once proposed to me then...!? :)

We'll just have to make do with shared consciousness! Like your latest blog entry.
